A recorded cassette tape of Scottish Gaelic tuition for beginners, with transcription booklet. Fifty-six minutes of simple Gaelic conversation that the student can start to use immediately. In tests with selected students, this method was found to develop excellent pronunciation of Gaelic in record time. This is not intended as a rigorous, highly structured introduction to the Gaelic language: it is a 'Taste of Gaelic' which should encourage the student to progress beyond the phrases recorded here to a much fuller and exacting study of the language.
Donald MacLennan was a native of Scarp, a small island lying off Harris.
